Shaili Desai graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in August 2019 as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
She chose to study manual osteopathy, as a result of experiencing its incredible benefits after sustaining an injury and enduring with chronic pain for some time. She found it to be a perfect fit due to its emphasis on the sense of touch and its ability to effect an individual’s muscular, skeletal, fascial and visceral organs.
Shaili’s work as a registered nurse and certification in wound care increased her appreciation for the human body’s ability to heal despite the sometimes severe trauma it has known, and osteopathy has an amazing way of increasing this healing.
She loves to learn about the body at both a musculo-skeletal and visceral level and she plans to broaden her understanding of visceral manual osteopathy in the near future.
On her off time, Shaili enjoys meditating, reading, hiking and spending time with her family and friends.
