Michelle Morency BIOFLEX Laser Therapy

Michelle Morency

Michelle Morency RMT Laser Therapist

Initially it was the idea of pre/post-natal treatments and infant massage that brought Michelle to the career path of massage therapy. Suffered with hip and low back pain throughout her entire pregnancy, not guaranteed if the pain was cause by previous sports injuries from childhood or if it was the pregnancy, change in body and hormones. Michelle was set and thought prenatal and infant care were her focus until she was introduced to laser therapy. Having had previous sports related injuries that were starting to become a limitation to Michelle’s career choice, she was referred for Bioflex Laser Therapy. Astonished as to how much Laser therapy could help, combining Low Intensity Light Therapy with manual manipulation and massage of the soft tissue helps patients achieve exceptional results. Michelle enjoy treating using a variety of modalities including hydrotherapy massage therapy and Laser therapy. Michelle has discovered her passion is helping people reach there therapeutic goals. I’m Allison Stuart and I’m one of the new practitioners here at knots n joints. I’ve been practicing as a registered massage therapist for 6 years now and I absolutely love what I do. It’s a very rewarding job. I get to help people by improving their quality of movement and their quality of life. When I was younger I trained as a gymnast so since a young age I have been receiving massage therapy and chiropractic care. I believe this experience has help shaped me into being a very well rounded therapist.

When I’m not at work I very much enjoy the outdoors. I have two black labradors that keep me quite busy and entertained. Never a dull moment with those two around. I also take a lot of enjoyment in yoga 🙂 This helps keep me balanced and healthy.

Osteopathy

Jeannie

Jeannie Dhun

Manual Osteopath

Jeannie comes to us with a wealth of knowledge about the body. Her passion for health and wellness led her to Osteopathy after she saw incredible results on an injury she had suffered with for a long time. She trained at the National Academy of Osteopathy where she graduated with honours.

Many people wonder, what is Osetopathy? Jeannie explains Osteopathy as “a melting pot of many alternative cultures and practices such as Chiro, Physio, Massage, Yoga and Energy Medicine. If you could imagine a mix of all of those, that is what Osteopathy is, in a nutshell.” A Manual Osteopath can help treat dizziness, migraines, TMJ disorders, joint and muscle pain, arthritis, sinusitis, cold and flu, abdominal hernia, SI joint dysfunction, herniated discs, spinal stenosis and so much more.

Jeannie’s hobbies include Yoga, Reiki, meditation and being outdoors…when it’s warm. She has taught yoga for 4 years but has been practicing for 15 years. She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Yin and Restorative Yoga but also enjoys working on improving and growing in her own practice. Yoga, Reiki and meditation have played a huge role in her life and she attributes its benefits as the reason she is who she is today. She desires to continue to strive to be better and plans to attain her Masters and Doctrine in Osteopathy in the near future. Her favourite branch of Osteopathy is Cranial- Sacral therapy. She has had personal experience with how much this type of treatment can help one to heal and is an advocate for its usefulness and benefits. She also plans to add Pediatric Cranial- Sacral therapy to her skills set in the future.

Jeannie is in good standing with both the National Manual Osteopathic Society and the Society of Osteopaths.
